Considering the depth in batting lineup of current English team, it will be good to introduce Tremlett in for Trott's slot as this action will definitely power their bowling unit even better. If you have four seamers plus one spinner then its always a relieved work for the bowlers. England can press in for another victory if this format is followed. With the injury to Trott, English will have to put in another batsmen who can roll his arms also. But as far as Bresnan and Broad fences the ball very easily, it is not necessary that they should put in a batsmen itself as Trott's replacement. The four seamers combination is perfectly alright for the current English team as they can all the chance to press on for 3-0 victory.
History says India plays good in the later part of series, thats the Tendulkars and Dravids along with Laxmans will stay more solid in the crease so that they can perform to their marks. Variable options in bowling will give England more chances of suppressing the Indian batting line up. lets hope that English captain and coach takes wise decision before the match.
Indian possibilities are limited in this test as neither their batsmen(except Laxman and Dravid) and bowlers(Praveen) are upto the mark this series. Considering that Harbhajan will be out of the series woos another problem in the lower order batting. Zaheer Khans come back should be a boost along with the swinging praveen kumar. May be Mishra will bowl effectively with his leg breaks and cutters. But choosing for between Ishanth and Sreesanth is difficult. Sreesanth is the more talented bowler as far as English conditions are concerned but his performance was below par in the last test. Both the bowlers cant be included in the team just because then 5 Indian players wont be able to swing the bat at all. Indians have to motivate themselves to stay on the hunt and retain their world number 1 spot.
But considering the form English stays ahead for the third test and in contention for the world number 1 spot. Stuart Broad would be the find of series..!
