Lecture on Energy Efficiency for Engineering Students

A talk on need for Energy efficiency in the state and country was delivered by Mr. Mithun John Varghese, Energy Auditor  for engineering students at an Engineering College in Kochi. The lecture was primarily focused on Energy efficiency measures that has to be taken care by industries, commercial buildings and domestic consumers.  Also issues like energy diversity, energy security and energy scenario in Kerala were addressed.  Similarly there were activity involving the amount of electricity saved in a college/school classroom. At the end of the session students were given awareness about various Graduate and Post graduate level courses in India as well as abroad.

It is  believed that such efforts will trigger more energy related projects in Energy, Solar, Renewable sector in India with the help of research centers and educational institutions. Lets hope we will develop and sustain more in using and employing renewable energy and related activities in the near future
