SOMDEV DEVVARMAN...?? "This the reaction from crowd and commentators before the start of the fourth round match against Nadal.. But Somdev was well prepared before the match and was chill throughout the match.. And what a start, breaking the first game against Nadal. Soon after that he spread out some winners to win the second game also.. The charts looked Somdev 2 and Nadal 0.. For a minute i thought its a dream but soon i realized its not. But Nadal climbed back to win three games in a row 3-2 and i felt that was the end of Somdevs campaign. But he held on to Nadal's strong volleys and pulled back his game 3-3,4-4,5-5..!!
Everyone were stunned to see a minnow from India holding World champion on..!! Soon Nadal won the next two games and wrapped the first set..!!
Devvarman looked in full energy in the second set and held on from the begening 1-1,2-2,3-3, 4-4.... Howw!! its very hard to match Nadals powerful shorts which he hits above his shoulders. As a beginner Devvarman won the game and the crowd even after losing the game 7-5:6-4...!!
With this performance in this summer Somdev deserves to play the next Grand Slam !!
The Indian presence in tennis world is dominating every year and we can hope that somdev wins many more and climbs up into the intial 50 rankings...
